Favorite Beads by Ashley

A few of my favorite things!

My bead palette focuses on greens, teals, browns and gold. I love mixing earth tones with rich metals. I think all jewelry should have a little sparkle and Swarovski crystal has all the shine!

Along with my best bead picks I have included an industrial strength marker and polishing pads. You can easily add definition to a metal piece. Just cover the piece in the marker and then polish. Enjoy!

Vintage pendants from rare to antique.

Our vintage pendants range from antique Victorian lovelies to rare deco pieces. Vintage glass pendants make for stunning centerpieces or eye-catching components in your necklace designs. Beautifully demonstrated in the stunning necklace tutorial by staff designer, Ashley, she takes you through her designing step by step.

This antique-esque necklace combines complimentary colors, amethyst and topaz, and incorporates beading wire looping techniques with Loops Miriam Haskell two-holed beads.

Black Beads? Brown Beads? Mixing Neutrals?

Gone are the days when it was faux pas to wear brown boots with a black dress. From the runway to the streets, everyone is mixing their neutrals: nudes with black, taupe with tortoise, and charcoal with gold.

This trend extends to your jewelry inspiration
as well. We've put together the perfect collection of neutral beads for you.

Bold Beads: Vintage Lucite Baubles

When we moved 40,000 lbs of ca. 60s-80s plastics from the factory warehouse to Maine, we knew that much of the treasure was lucite parts that were absolutely beautiful, but had no holes. We've had them made bead charms! Usable drip-drops that bring on the bold and cluster like crazy. If you love lucite, they are a must-have, limited availability treasure for your collection.

Flower Beads for Flower Power

We love our flowers around here. We've got lucite flowers, vintage plastic flowers, silk and satin millinery floral pieces, glass flowers... the material doesn't matter. Get a sampling of flower power with these great flower mixes. Be sure to check out the flower hair comb tutorial just posted by our staff designer, Ashley.
